LEBANON, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is honored to lead the family dining
segment in the inaugural "Consumer Picks" national survey. The study was
developed by Nation's Restaurant News, the industry's leading
trade publication, and WD Partners of Dublin, Ohio, to measure guest
attitudes about 139 restaurant brands. The brands constitute three
restaurant segments: limited service, family and casual/fine dining. The
survey resulted in 6,800 responses that rated the restaurants on a
variety of attributes. Cracker Barrel took top honors in Food Quality,
Cleanliness, Service, Menu Variety, Atmosphere, Reputation and Likely to
Recommend.
"The restaurant industry is extremely competitive and consumers are
being extraordinarily selective regarding where they spend their money
these days," said Sandy Cochran, Cracker Barrel President and CEO. "We
are very honored to know from this award that our guests truly
appreciate our hospitality, food, value and our People Pleasing service.
It also reinforces our belief that maintaining high quality standards
and ample portions are key components to our guests having a great
Cracker Barrel experience and making the decision to return again and
again."
Cochran continued, "I'm proud of the dedication that Cracker Barrel's
66,000 employees display to our guests every day. ‘Pleasing People' has
been our mission statement since 1969 and over the years it has become
far more than a statement; it's our culture. In over 600 locations and
in 42 states, our employees consistently provide friendly service in a
warm and welcoming atmosphere." Cochran believes that the retail store
plays an important role in creating the unique experience that Cracker
Barrel guests enjoy. "From the moment guests walk in our door, they are
welcomed by our retail employees and surrounded by unique nostalgic
toys, gifts and self-indulgences. The guest experience begins before
they even sit down at the table."
